• Chief Complaint: Chronic constipation – Intermittent constipation for over 30 years, severe constipation in the recent 2 years
• Associated Symptoms: Chronic cervicalgia, Intermittent lumbago
• Current Medication: Polyethylene glycol 3350 (Miralax®)
• Past Medical History: Unsuccessful surgical correction of Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP, comprising cystocele, rectocele, and uterine prolapse) and minimal clinical response to physical therapy.
• Initial Visit Findings, November 25, 2025:
  1. The chief complaint was chronic constipation.
  2. No active complaints regarding cervicalgia or lumbago.
• Second Visit on December 11, 2025:
  1. Complete resolution of constipation for three days following initial treatment.
  2. Immediate resolution of cervicalgia during treatment.
  3. Polyethylene glycol 3350 (Miralax®) may cause colonic motility impairment with long-term use; therefore, its use should be minimized, and a vegan diet is recommended concurrently.
• Third Visit on December 16, 2025:
  1. Despite the complete discontinuation of polyethylene glycol 3350 (Miralax®) following the second treatment session, the patient reports daily bowel movements.
  2. Initial defecation requires mild straining, after which stool consistency becomes very loose.
  3. Chronic cervicalgia-associated muscle knots and pain, and intermittent lumbago have completely resolved.
  4. The patient is experiencing good sleep quality.
  5. The patient was informed that non-adherence to a strict vegetarian diet may diminish the therapeutic effect.
• Fourth Visit – December 21, 2025:
  1. December 17: Exacerbation of chronic constipation requiring rectal suppository administration
  2. December 18–19: Bowel movement followed by dizziness
  3. December 20: Incomplete evacuation (inability to fully defecate)
• Fifth Visit – December 23, 2025:
  1. Two consecutive days of well-formed, golden-colored stools (normal defecation).
  2. Complete resolution of a palpable lump present for 2 years in the area of chronic cervicalgia
• Sixth Visit – December 30, 2025:
  1. For seven consecutive days, the patient has reported golden, well-formed stools.
  2. No further hair loss observed during showering.
  3. The patient has maintained eight hours of uninterrupted, restorative sleep without nocturnal awakenings.
• 7th visit on January 10, 2026:
  1. Following a strong recommendation for re-operation, the patient developed significant secondary anxiety rooted in her previous surgical failure and concerns regarding low success rates and potential complications.
  2. This psychological distress led to an exacerbation of prolapse symptoms and the onset of urinary frequency (pollakisuria).
  3. Provided a clinical explanation on the relationship between Hepatic (Liver) function and the structural integrity of the pelvic floor ligaments and muscles.

  3. Orthopaedic surgeons recommended surgical release (flexor retinaculum division); the patient declined.
